Sallisaw – Funeral services for Bobby Dean Caughman, 66, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Thursday, June 22, 2023, at Brushy School Gymnasium. Burial was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mr. Caughman was born on Dec. 8, 1956, in Sallisaw to Johnny George Caughman and Frances Lavern (Hill) Caughman. He died on Sunday, June 18, 2023, in Sallisaw.

He worked in maintenance and as a bus driver for Brushy School, and was a member of Brushy Volunteer Fire Department for over 30 years.

He married Brenda Crawford on July 22, 1982, in Marble City.

Survivors include his wife, Brenda Caughman of the home; two daughters, Shellie Caughman and Shalee Caughman both of Sallisaw; one son, Sheldon and Hannah Caughman of Marble City; two sisters, Patricia Caughman and Tawanna and Raymond Keith, all of Sallisaw; three brothers, Jimmy Caughman and Glen and Melissa Caughman, all of Sallisaw, and Mark and Louise Caughman of Rocky Point; two grandchildren; and other family members and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and one sister, Debbie Bair.

Pallbearers were Sheldon Caughman, Ryan Mefford, Glen Caughman, Dion Caughman, Clifford Eppler and Greg Price.
