Funeral services for Don Robertson, 88, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, May 9, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Robertson was born on Feb. 22, 1937, in Marble City, to Flora B. (Mays) Robertson and Felix Marion Robertson. He died on Monday, May 5, 2025, at his home.
He married Diane (Rogers) Robertson on Aug. 29, 1970, in Marble City.
He graduated from Sallisaw High School in 1955. He went on to earn a teaching degree from Northeastern State University, and a Master’s degree..
Survivors are his wife, Diane, of the home; brother, Dean Robertson and Jean of Pryor; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; inlaws, Beulah and Ollie Rogers; five brothers-in-law, Jimmy Rogers, Billy Rogers, Buddy Rogers, Seigal Rogers and Stimson Rogers; and three sisters-inlaw, Wanda Rogers, Wynona Rogers and Mayme Rogers.
Pallbearers were Jim Rogers, Tom Rogers, Linville Merrill, Brian Rogers, Gary Williams, and Jay Rogers.
Honorary pallbearers were Dean Robertson, Doug Deer, Norman Cogburn, Jeremy Philpot, and Tommy Grass.
