Funeral services for Connie McClure, 86, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. on Monday, May 12, 2025, at the Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial followed at Drakestand Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. McClure was born on May 12, 1938, in Sallisaw to Iva (Holland) McClure and Neil McClure. He passed away on Friday, May 9, 2025.
He spent 30 years working at Holly Carburetor (SLPT) before retiring. He enjoyed fishing and gardening.
He is survived by his wife, Ethel McClure of the home; daughter, Tammy Hale and Jerry of Sallisaw; son, Johnny McClure and Shannon of Hackett, Ark.; seven grandchildren; five great-grandchildren; three sisters, Martha Taylor and Junior of Sallisaw, Linda Bush of Marble City and Brenda Bryant and Victor of Sallisaw; one brother, Cecil McClure of Sallisaw; and many other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; son, Mark McClure; sister, Mary Barger; and four brothers, Leon, Wayne, Clayborn and Clayton Mc-Clure.
Pallbearers were Dereck Hale, Cody Hale, Eddie Curry, Dennis Thomas, Jerry Hale and Johnny McClure.
