Funeral services for Hilda “Christene” (Fisher) Talbot, 90, of Sallisaw, were held at 1 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 4, 2025, at First Christian Church in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Blackjack Cemetery in Muldrow, under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Talbot was born on Sept. 27, 1935, in Fort Smith, Ark., to Charles and Pearlie Fisher. She passed away on Monday, Oct. 27, 2025.
She married William “Wild Bill” Talbot in 2001. She was a member of First Christian Church, Old Sallisaw High School Association and County Home Extension Club, worked for the County Election Board, and was secretary for the Historical Society.
She is survived by her children, Carrie Bowman, Cheryl McCalment, Rhonda Rector and Russell McCalment; seven grandchildren; nine greatgrandchildren; and other family and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; 10 brothers and sisters; and her husband, Bill Talbot.
