Sequoyah County Commissioners proclaimed the month of September as Suicide Prevention Awareness Month at their regular meeting last Monday. Attending the proclamation, (up front) from the left, are Chrystal Schulz, coordinator of the Sequoyah County Mental Health Court, Dist. 3 Commissioner Jim Rogers, Sequoyah County District and Mental Health Court Judge Kyle Waters, Commissioner and Board Chairman Ray Watts (seated) and Dist. 2 Commissioner Steve Carter (behind Rogers), and Cindy Smith (front), the Sequoyah County Sheriff’s Office Investigator and head of Victims Crime Unit.
