Vian Fire Chief Keith Boshers said it took 23 volunteer firefighters from Vian, McKey, Gore and Rural Fire Protection District #1 fire departments and 11 apparatuses to extinguish a structure fire, Thursday evening, on Vaughn Street. Boshers said the home was fully-engulfed and it was initially reported that two people were in the house but firefighters were later told the two had dove out a window. Boshers said the there was no water or electric going to the home, and no injuries were reported. “We had an excellent turnout and support from neighboring fire departments,” Boshers said.
