Part of the proceeds from this year’s Burnin Down Main Street event, which was held in downtown Vian in October, went toward purchasing around six gifts each for a dozen residents at Vian Nursing & Rehab. Angie Shaw, second from right, and Denise Fieldgrove, far right, with the Burnin Down Main Street committee said they shopped and purchased the gifts for the residents from a list of items they wanted or needed. “We really enjoy giving the money back to someone in our community who needs it,” the women said. Burnin Down Main Street is put on each year by Vian Wheel and Tire and Bolin’s B&B Auto Clinic. Accepting the gifts for Vian Nursing & Rehab are, from the left, Vicki Wilson, Activities Assistant and Annette Crowder, Activities Director AMIE CATO-REMER
