“Just wait until your father gets home…” Have you ever heard those words? I did a few time as a kid and it was always a sense of dread. Dad worked out of town during the week and came home for the week ends. I was always excited to see him, as were my siblings. But, if I was in trouble, trouble to the point of mom not disciplining me on the spot but saying those dreaded words, “Just wait ‘til your father gets home.” I knew that great disappointment was ahead. It was disappointment for me as well as my dad. It made for a long week if I heard those words on a Monday or Tuesday.
