Gore – Funeral services for Jimmy Don McCoy, 57, of Gore, were at 1 p.m. Monday, June 5, 2023, at Agent & Mallory- Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at McCoy Evening Shade Cemetery in Vian under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mr. McCoy was born on March 10, 1966, in Oklahoma City to Oliver Wendell McCoy and JoAnne (McCullar) Steer. He died on Friday, May 26, 2023, in Dallas.
He was a truck driver and of the Pentecostal faith. He married Belinda Viefhaus on Feb. 13, 2009, in Centralhoma.
Survivors include his wife, Belinda McCoy of the home; five sons, Jerry Don McCoy of Atoka, Naman McCoy of Oklahoma, Jimmy Don McCoy Jr. and John Ellis, both of El Reno and Bobby Don Mc-Coy of Soaper; two daughters, Amber Burson of Arizona and Dessiree Viefhous of Atoka; his father, of Gore; two sisters, Liz Beasley of Beggs and Betty Rector of Atoka; 22 grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
He was preceded in death by his mother; stepmother, Paula McCoy; two brothers, Gary Lynn McCoy and Dennis Beach; and one sister, Sandra Washington.
Pallbearers were Jerry Don McCoy, John Ellis, Jimmy Don McCoy Jr., Bobby Don McCoy, Robbie McCoy, Chris Knight, Lee Wayne Seabourn, Terry Snow, Bubba Isabell, Joe Washington, Randy Stephens, Jason McWaters and Chuck Viefhaus.
