Beautiful…and Happy Feet
commentary
August 23, 2023
Beautiful…and Happy Feet

“How beautiful … are the feet of him who brings good news, Who pro cl aims peace, Who brings glad tidings of good things, Who proclaims salvation…” (Isaiah 52:7).

“How then shall they call on Him in whom they have not believed? And how shall they believe in Him of whom they have not heard? And how shall they hear without a preacher? “And how shall they preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who preach the gospel of peace.”

Beautiful feet! Happy feet!

When we take the Gospel of Jesus Christ to the lost we have “beautiful feet” and this gives us “happy feet!”

God’s salvation is not complicated. The sinner can come through faith. They must hear the Word, believe in the heart and confess Jesus Christ openly. “That if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved” (Romans 10:9-10).

Unbeliever

Have you heard Je- sus loves you and will forgive you of your sins? We are all sinners! Christians are saved sinners! Unbeliever are lost sinners. The Cross of Jesus Christ makes the difference. “There is none righteous, no not one”… “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God” (Romans 3:9-18, 23).

If you continue to reject Christ, you must know that “the wages of sin is death” (Romans 6:2).

Many have not heard the Word…the Good News. Many have heard the truth, but have not believed Him. Millions have rejected Him and gone out into eternity to face the judgment of God (Luke 16:25-31).

The lost sinner must hear the Word! Believe the Word! “For God so loved the world that He gave His only begotten Son, that whoever believes in Him should not perish but have everlasting life” (John 3:16).

“And… if you confess with your mouth the Lord Jesus and believe in your heart that God has raised Him from the dead, you will be saved…For with the heart one believes unto righteousness, and with the mouth confession is made unto salvation” (Romans 10:9-10).

Unbeliever, when you hear the Word it will create faith in your heart if you believe what you hear. When you hear and reject Him, you must understand… you will be judged!

Lost sinner, salvation is through faith in Jesus Christ, His Life, Death, Burial and Resurrection and His Ascension. “For “whoever calls on the name of the Lord shall be saved” for “faith comes by hearing, and hearing by the word of God” (Romans 10:13:17).

Christians On Mission Christian, we must go and tell them! They must “hear the Word.” The true Church must be on Mission taking the Gospel into all the World. The local church should have a mission program that helps fulfill the command to go.

Each Christian has the message! What are you doing with it? If we want to please God and glorify Him,wemustgo…andthis is how we have beautiful feet and happy feet. “How beautiful…are the feet of him who brings good news…who proclaims salvation” (Isa. 52:7).

Christians, we are God’s messengers! What a privilege to be a “saved sinner” with eternal life! Want “beautiful feet… then we must go! We do not want “ugly feet.” Ugly feet ignore the words of Jesus. They walk in the ways of the world. Do you have “beautiful or ugly feet?

Why go?

Jesus said: “And He said to them, “Go into all the world and preach the gospel to every creature” (Mark 16:15).

Listen….. can you hear the cry from beneath? “for I have five brothers, that he may testify to them, lest they also come to this place of torment” (Luke 16:28).

We can hear the voices from around the World, “help us.” “And a vision appeared to Paul in the night. A man of Macedonia stood and pleaded with him, saying, “Come over to Macedonia and help us” (Acts 16:9).

When was the last time you shared the Gospel with the lost?

“He loved us when we were ungodly, sinners” (Romans 5:6-10). How can we disobey?

Obedience…makes beautiful and happy feet! Amen!
