Braggs – Memorial service for Wyemiah Francis Miller, 71, of Braggs was held at 3 p.m. Friday, Sept. 29, 2023, at Lee’s Chapel Cemetery Muldrow.
Mrs. Miller was born Sept. 25, 1951, in Sallisaw to G.B. Jones and Mildred Welch Jones. She died on Friday, Sept. 8, 2023.
She graduated Gans High School in 1969. She attended Connors State College in Warner, Northeastern State University, Tahlequah and East Central University Ada, obtaining her Master’s degree. She retired after 31 years at McAlester Public Schools. She returned to teach two more years at Quinton and adult education in McAlester after her retirement.
She was of the Baptist Faith. She is survived by her husband of 51 years, Gary Miller of the home; daughter, Wynette and Rod Tipps of Texas; son, James Miller and wife Angela of Braggs; 10 grandchildren; two sisters, Brenda Winkle and husband Jerry, and Vickie Ivy all of Sallisaw; and a host of relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, Gary Jones and Jewell Reed; and her grandparents, Walter Jones and Nancy Jones and Jeff Welch and Cora Welch.
