Trust in God at all Times
By Shirley R. Watts Pray for Israel.,

The Enemy is becoming stronger!

“Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation” … “He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved”… “In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God”… “Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us” (Psalm 62).

Enemies

The enemy is pursuing David. Have you ever had others to try and destroy who you are and the work that God has called you to do? There are many enemies out there, and led by the chief of all… Satan.

The enemies were full of mischief, serpent’s venom and subtlety. They were malicious in persecution. David asked, how long will you do this? They were envious of David’s advancement. They chose to diminish his character, hinder him, speak evil of him, and give bad reports…gossip! They loved to tell lies about him. They would compliment him to his face, curse inwardly, wishing him the worst. They wanted to ruin him. This attitude of evil is also found in our local churches and work place of those who are weak in faith and believe it is their calling to hurt others.

David chose not to allow them to detour him away from God…the God of all power! He was shocked at their actions but would not sink. He was disturbed but not fearful. He would not despair. David turned his enemies over to the Lord. “He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved” (v. 2).

Those who fight against the Church will be as a “leaning wall or tottering fence” (v. 3).

Faith

David had confidence that God would judge the enemy. He would pray, worship and meditate upon His Word. He had faith! He didn’t just talk about it! He lived it!

The more we act upon our faith, the more active it becomes. Faith grows when we exercise it. The more we think upon God and His power and promises, the less fear we experience.

His heart began to sing, “Truly my soul silently waits for God; From Him comes my salvation. He only is my rock and my salvation; He is my defense; I shall not be greatly moved. In God is my salvation and my glory; The rock of my strength, And my refuge, is in God.

The stronger our faith the higher we soar! “Then you shall delight yourself in the Lord; And I will cause you to ride on the high hills of the earth, (Isa. 58:14). Are you soaring?

God is our Rock where we build our hope. He is our Refuge where we go for shelter as the enemy pursues us. No other place to go!

Many enemies surround the Church today. We must remain faithful and trust only in God. He is in control

See WATTS, page 5 and He will be the Judge over all our enemies. We must continue to be and do the will of God and share the Good News of Jesus Christ and His Return.

We pray and we wait upon the Lord. He will take care of all situations in His own way and on His clock. Let us be busy sharing with each other what God is doing in our personal lives. I thank God for David and his many testimonies of how God protected him and how many times he felt the enemy breathing down his neck, but raised above him and expressed faith in God and God delivered him. Amen!

Challenge

David challenges us to have faith at all times. Live a life totally dependent upon God. Never have confidence in self or mankind. Trust in God in every emergency to always guide us when in doubt, to protect us when in danger, to supply our needs and to always strengthen us. Praise the Lord! What an amazing God! The One and Only Powerful God!

“Trust in Him at all times, you people; Pour out your heart before Him; God is a refuge for us” (v.8).

Our faith must become stronger daily!
