Christians and Troubled Hearts Today?
By Shirley R. Watts,

I Am Coming Again!

“Let not your heart be troubled; you believe in God, believe also in Me. In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know” (John 14:1-6).

Believe Jesus

What a promise! Jesus will keep His word! Where will you spend eternity? Well…it depends on whether you have believed and placed your faith in Christ or if you choose to believe the lies of Satan.

Jesus makes it very clear that Heaven is a real place and how one can go there. There are many Believers whose hearts are troubled by what is happening in the world today. But Jesus tells us to believe God and believe in Him for they are one and will keep all the promises made to Believers and to unbelievers (John 3:18).

The disciples felt sad as Jesus spoke about going away, and returning later. “Let not your heart be troubled.” They didn’t fully understand the big picture. Do we truly understand the big picture…the Heavenly picture? Are we living as if we do? Jesus assures them that they would be with Him one day, but until then, they are to be on mission!

A Place For You

Jesus said: “In My Father’s house are many mansions; if it were not so, I would have told you. I go to prepare a place for you. He is speaking of our heavenly home. He came down from Heaven and now He will go away for a little while and then come for us. (Acts 1:11) Believers, we have His promise of preparing a place in Heaven for each of us. Many Christians may have a troubled heart! Let it not be, for if you believe what He has said and all He has done, you have the assurance of His return. But for now we have mission work to do, so others may believe and have a heavenly home.

Our heart must not be troubled because of the worldly ways before us. Our faith must be strong! Think on Jesus… His birth, life, death and resurrection, why He left, why He will return and our eternal future with Him.

Let’s be a bright light in this darkness that others may find the hope in Christ. Those who live for the world are troubled, but “let not your heart be troubled” because we have been redeemed by His blood, chosen, sanctified and have the promise that He will return soon. Keep your heart and mind upon Him!

Remember His words: “And if I go and prepare a place for you, I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also. And where I go you know, and the way you know.” Amen… Praise God!!

Be Joyful

When we trust in His promise we are assured that our heart is protected from being “troubled.”This enables us to face today and face battles and obstacles with much joy.

Let your faith show itself in joy! Heaven is a real place! The Father is there, Jesus is there preparing for us. He said, “I will come again and receive you to Myself; that where I am, there you may be also,” Amen!

Believer, take the time to meditate on this. Think on the moment that you will enter the everlasting kingdom (II Pet. 1:11).

Get a vision Of Heaven! Be fruitful here! Rest in His promise of security! We have an inheritance…Heaven! We have a living hope… Eternal life! We will receive new bodies for the New Heaven!

“Let not your heart be troubled.”

Unbelievers

You must think! Confess your sins, place faith in Christ! Heaven is a real place, and this means Hell is a real place. Jesus is the Way! (John 3:16).

“Jesus said to him, “I am the way, the truth, and the life. No one comes to the Father except through Me” (John 14:6).
