Don’t Waver! Hold On to Your Hope

Don’t Waver! Hold On to Your Hope
By Shirley R. Watts,

Praise God! Be Thankful!

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Heb. 10:23-24).

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward” (Heb. 10:35).

“Waver” “To move one way and the other; flutter. To show signs of falling back or giving up Christian are you showing signs of giving up?

Jesus

When Jesus Christ came down from Heaven, lived a perfect life, died a cruel death, was buried, raised and ascended back to His Father He opened up the way to God. When you trust Him, all your sins are forgiven forever. All guilt is gone. The matter is settled and cannot change. You are saved forever! Amen! You can’t be saved a second time, for Jesus completed salvation. You may re-dedicate your life, but you cannot be saved twice. To think you can insults what Jesus did for you. When you are saved you receive the Holy Spirit and He leads, guides and directs you as you yield to Him, and He will help you not to waver.

Jesus finished what God called Him to do… “for by one offering He has perfected forever those who are being sanctified”…’’Their sins and their lawless deeds I will remember no more.” “Now where there is remission of these, there is no longer an offering for sin” (Heb. 10:11-18).

See WATTS, page 5 This is possible only through Jesus. Believe this! If you have other ideas, you are wasting your time. Spend your time in worship and witnessing to the lost and not on trusting in yourself. Don’t allow anyone or anything to cause you to waver. You must hold on to your hope “for He who promised is faithful.” Today

Take a deep breath and stay strong. Things are happening fast and you must be busy involved in “good works” (worship, witness, praise, love, prayer and thankfulness) all because you have been saved! You are secure!

As we wait for His return, let us not waver in faith, hope and love for one another. Be busy and have boldness in our freedom of speech. Let your faith, hope and love show!

Because He lives you are a free person and can come into the presence of God in prayer. He is The Creator! You now have access to His Throne. Amazing privilege! What love and grace God has bestowed on all who love His Son! You must not waver! Move forward!

Draw Near

“…let us draw near with a true heart in full assurance of faith, having our hearts sprinkled from an evil conscience and our bodies washed with pure water” (Heb. 10:22).

If you want true fellowship with God, you must come into His presence with a clean heart and conscience, and have no un-repentant sin. Confess sin and walk away and enjoy fellowship with the Creator of all. You can’t fellowship with sin in your life. If there is sin, this is wavering! You can’t waver in your faith if you want real fellowship with Him.

Hold Fast

“Let us hold fast the confession of our hope without wavering, for He who promised is faithful” (Heb. 10:23).

Hold on to your hope! Don’t waver! Spend your time rejoicing of the hope firm to the end. (Heb 3:6). Let us continue to “eagerly wait for Him” (Heb. 9:28). No wavering! When you fix your eyes on Christ and the faithfulness of God, you will not waver! “For He who promised is faithful” (Heb. 10:23).

Consider Love

“And let us consider one another in order to stir up love and good works” (Heb. 10:24-25).

Fellowship with one another is very special and very much needed. It is a time to exhort and encourage others. It is about what you can contribute not about what you can get. It is a time you can express our faith, joy and love and worship Him.

Christian

“Therefore do not cast away your confidence, which has great reward… “For you have need of endurance, so that after you have done the will of God, you may receive the promise” (Heb. 10:35-39).

“Day approaching”… ”For yet a little while, And He who is coming will come and will not tarry” (Heb. 10:37).

Amen!
