Funeral services for Jeanie Risenhoover, 79, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 16, 2024 at Brushy Holiness Church in Sallisaw. Burial was at Brushy Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Risenhoover was born on March 18, 1944, in Hartshorne to Floyd Poindexter and Ella (Campbell) Poindexter. She died on Wednesday, Jan. 10, 2024, in Sallisaw.
She was a homemaker She married Bobby Joe Risenhoover on July 23, 1960, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on July 9, 2018.
Survivors include three sons, Bobby G. and Pam Risenhoover and Bobby A. and Joanna Risenhoover, all of Sallisaw and Douglas and Janene Risenhoover of Cushing; one daughter, Lisa Heaton of Sallisaw; two sisters, Lucy Poindexter of Drumright and Vivian Bailey-Taylor of Sallisaw; two brothers, Ernest Poindexter and Neal Poindexter, both of Sallisaw; six grandchildren; eight great-grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Janie Poindexter; and two brothers, Odie and Lloyd Poindexter.
Pallbearers were Tristan Risenhoover, Ashlea Risenhoover, Joey Risenhoover, Jananne Risenhoover, Clayton Risenhoover and Erika Heaton.
