Jan. 5, 1942 – Jan. 29, 2024

Funeral services for Jewell Dene Teague, 82, of Sallisaw, were held at 11 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 1, 2024, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.

Burial was at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.

Mrs. Teague was born on Jan. 5, 1942, in Sallisaw to Clayton Mayo Hines Sr. and Sylvia (Davis) Hines. She died on Monday, Jan. 29, 2024, in Sallisaw.

She was a homemaker.

She married Sonny Teague on May 25, 1960, in Poteau.

Survivors include her husband, of the home; one daughter, Linda and Bill Falleur of Muskogee; three sons, Chip Teague, Donald Dean Teague and Dusty Teague, all of Sallisaw; five sisters, Mary Caves, Marie and Gary Bolin, Nancy and Allen Lineberry, Sylvia Hines-Goodwin and Imogene Cheek, all of Sallisaw; two brothers, Thomas and Iva Hines and Clayton and Paula Hines, all of Brushy; six grandchildren; 13 great-grandchildren; one great-great-grandchild; and other family members and friends.

She was preceded in death by her parents; one sister, Edith Hines; and two brothers, Edward and Ozzie Hines.

Pallbearers were Joseph Teague, Trevor Teague, Seth Smith, Mesa Falleur, Dagan Grizzle and Mason Teague.
