Don’t be Discouraged in Pain and Sufferings

Don’t be Discouraged in Pain and Sufferings
By Shirley R. Watts,

“For I consider that the sufferings of this present time are not worthy to be compared with the glory which shall be revealed in us” (Rom. 8:18).

Hope

Because of our hope in Jesus Christ, we must not allow our pain and sufferings cause us to become discouraged. We have our hope in His return, our resurrection and eternal life. This should make us want to see Jesus, get our new body and live in Heaven forever. Let’s keep this in our minds! Let’s be patient, be busy sharing the Gospel with the lost persons. We must share this hope while we can, for time is short.

Let’s be “looking for the blessed hope and glorious appearing of our great God and Savior Jesus Christ, who gave Himself for us”…” (Titus 2:13-14). The best is coming soon! Don’t be discouraged, for one day our pain and sufferings will give way to eternal glory. “And God will wipe away every tear from their eyes; there shall be no more death, nor sorrow, nor crying. There shall be no more pain, for the former things have passed away” (Rev. 21:4).

Sin

Sin is at a high level today. It is taking many souls to Hell. We must warn people! It also shows itself in lives of Christians. We must be praying for a special soul to be saved and for one another. The Holy Spirit will help us pray. (Rom. 8:26).

Satan has lost! He is taking many souls with him to Hell, for he knows his time is short. He also discourages Christians by lying, killing and stealing their testimony of salvation and will do anything to keep us from sharing with the lost. He will fight to the end! We win when we repent of sin and stay in close fellowship with God. God’s plan will succeed! Praise the Lord God of Heaven!

Secure

Christians have it all! Live like it! Believe it! Rejoice in it! We have been declared righteous in Christ and this will never change. Keep in mind He constantly intercedes for us. As our High Priest, He gives us the grace to overcome our sufferings, pain, and our temptations, and see the enemy defeated.

‘Seeing then that we have a great High Priest who has passed through the heavens, Jesus the Son of God, let us hold fast our confession. ..Let us therefore come boldly to the throne of grace, that we may obtain mercy and find grace to help in time of need” (Heb. 4:14,16).

As our Advocate, He forgives sins and restores our fellowship with God the Father. There is no guess work about our future! It has been sealed in the Blood of Jesus and His Resurrection. We must not allow the devil to discourage us in these times, because we will see more and more evil on the world scene. We are secure in Jesus! No one can touch our salvation and love in Him!

We should be praising God constantly for all He has done for us, doing for us, and also the future. He loves us, saved us, will be here shortly for us. Nothing can separate us from His love!

Keep in mind that all pain and sufferings are for our spiritual growth (Rom. 5:3-5). He uses pain and sufferings to help us, always for our good and for His glory. Count it a blessing to be able to glorify Him through our pain and sufferings. Jesus is always near.

“Yet in all these things we are more than conquerors through Him who loved us… For I am persuaded that neither death nor life… shall be able to separate us from the love of God which is in Christ Jesus our Lord” (Rom. 8:37-39).

Conclusion

If you are feeling discouraged, and experiencing pain, remember you are victorious in Christ! There will be much glory when He returns for us and at the end of Great Tribulation and even more when He settles it all and we are in our eternal home. Always be ready to be caught up! He is coming shortly! (I Thess. 4-18).

Focus on Him! Victory is ours! Amen!

Rejoice in Him! It honors Him!
