Memorial services for Julio Hernandez, 51, of Sallisaw, were held at 4 p.m. on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, at St. Francis Xavier Catholic Church in Sallisaw.
Services were under the direction of Forever Memories Funeral Services, Inc., of Sallisaw.
Mr. Hernandez was born on March 28, 1972, and died on Sunday, March 3, 2024. He fought a courageous battle against a terminal illness for the past eight years.
He worked as a horseman with his brother, Pedro, and brother-in-law, Samuel, and for Aviagen Inc. for 20 years. He enjoyed fishing, attending horse races, and watching National Geographic, Jackie Chan movies and Star Wars.
Survivors are his spouse, Sara Hernandez; daughters, Cecilia Hernandez and Mayra Valdivia Carlisle; son-in-law, Taran Valdivia Carlisle; siblings, Pedro Hernandez and Rafaela, Luz Maria and Miguel Ruiz, Samuel and Rhonda Valdivia, Guillermo Valdivia, Jesus and Rosy Valdivia, and Anastasio Valdivia; many nieces and nephews; and other relatives and friends.
