Northeastern State University has announced that the 2024 Jack Kaufman Senior of Distinction Award winner is Viktoria Stallings of Marble City.
Stallings is a Freshwater Sciences and Psychology major. Following graduation, Stallings will be working towards a masters in environmental sciences at the University of Oklahoma School of Civil Engineering and Environmental Sciences in the Gallogly College of Engineering.
“Northeastern State University truly feels like home to me, and while I am nervous about leaving Tahlequah for graduate school, I am excited that I was able to gather here and now I am taking a piece of Northeastern with me wherever I go,” Stallings said.
The Jack Kaufman Senior of Distinction recipient is chosen from the college’s outstanding seniors and is named after one of NSU’s most active and influential alumni. The award honors an outstanding senior who will continue active engagement and support of the university for years to come.
“On behalf of the institution, I’d like to extend congratulations to our outstanding seniors on their remarkable achievements,” NSU President Rodney Hanley, said. “Their dedication, leadership and commitment left an indelible mark on our university.”
Stallings was also one of nine seniors recognized as outstanding seniors.
