Funeral services for Jessie Mae (Soap) Thomas, 82, of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. Friday, May 24, 2024, at the Agent & Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial was at Rocky Point Cemetery in Sallisaw under the direction of Agent & Mallory-Martin Funeral Home.
Mrs. Thomas was born on March 18, 1942, in Stilwell to Jess Soap and Ollie (England) Soap. She died on Tuesday, May 21, 2024, in Stilwell.
She was a sales clerk at the Indian Store and of the Christian faith. She enjoyed football, softball, reading and spending time with family and friends.
She married Jimmy Dale Thomas on April 24, 1963, in Stilwell. He preceded her in death on April 16, 2017.
Survivors include one daughter, Lynn Thomas of Sallisaw; one sister, Ollie Jean Brown of Stilwell; three grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one son, Jimmy Thomas; two sisters, Jennie Soap and Nancy Soap; one brother, J.B. Soap; and adopted daughter, Davanna Hess.
Pallbearers were Mitch Vann, Dewayne Brown, Dewayne Thomas, Don Adams, Dennis Brown, Alvie Workman and Archer Vann.
