The Sallisaw Chamber of Commerce announced on Wednesday at its monthly membership meeting that Wright Way Auctions is its June Member of the Month.
Growing up in Sequoyah County in the 1970s and ’80s, Tommy Wright attended many farm auctions, creating a passion for the auction industry.
Upon graduation from high school in 1990, Wright founded Wright Way Auctions, with the liquidation of Big Basin Lumberyard in Vian being the new company’s first major auction.
In 1997, Ronda Wright was added not only as Tommy’s wife, but also CEO for the business. Soon, sons Cash and Cason joined the auction team.
Ranging from estates to farms to school surplus sales, Wright Way Auctions’ priority is obtaining the top dollar for its clients’ assets while maintaining a healthy customer relationship.
The family auction business still remains active today, however, time has to be shared with the teaching profession. Tommy and Ronda are in their 30th year as teachers at Vian Public Schools.
Tommy also remains active in the family farm, raising cattle and producing hay for his customers throughout the county. Cash recently graduated from the University of Oklahoma and is a loan analyst at Great Nations Bank in Norman, while Cason is a senior at Oklahoma State University where he is majoring in agriculture business.
