All is Closer Than We Think!

All is Closer Than We Think!
By Shirley R. Watts,

“… the end of all things is at hand; therefore be serious and watchful in your prayers”(I Peter 4:7-8).

“For the Lord Himself will descend from heaven with a shout.. And the dead in Christ will rise first. Then we who are alive and remain shall be caught up together with them in the clouds to meet the Lord in the air” (I Thess. 4:16-17).

“For we must all appear before the judgment seat of Christ…” (II Cor. 5:10-11).

As we read the paper, listen to the world and local news, it is not hard to see what is happening today. If we study the Bible, we do see the “End Times” approaching and many say we are in the days preceding the Rapture. I know that is what generations have said before, but I believe we are so close that we could be taken up in the Rapture before this day is over. Our generation could be the one to see Jesus without the physical death. The Church (made up of true believers) must be prepared to meet the Lord in the air and then the Judgment Seat. This is when we give an account for the way we have lived as Christian.

“If anyone’s work which he has built on it endures, he will receive a reward, And If anyone’s work is burned, he will suffer loss; but he himself will be saved, yet so as through fire” (I Cor. 3:13-15).

Christian are you ready for the Judgment Seat of Christ? Are you ready? Many pastors do not speak about it and this is sad, and I believe it to be a sin to withhold the Scriptures from God’s people, and the world!

As a result of not knowing about the End Times such as the Rapture, Judgment Seat, the Seven Year Tribulation Period, the Millennium, and finally the Great White Throne Judgment Seat where all unbelievers are judged and cast into the Lake of Fire. Knowing these things is very important and is given to comfort and encourage Christians in the last days.

It should motivate us to get into the hedges and highways with the Gospel of Jesus Christ. It should also motivate us to become the Christians that God intended us to be. We should be walking the walk, not filing in and out of the local church. When we start walking the walk, it will cause us to pray for the lost, and dig into the Scriptures.

Every born again child of God should have the desire to read the book of Revelation. If you find yourself fearful as you read it, then it might be because you feel that you may be there. If so then you need to get the assurance of your salvation today. Yes, it is fearful, but only for those who reject Christ.

Judgment is coming whether we read the Book or not. Judgment is coming upon this world as never before. We see evil today, but there will be such chaos, turmoil, earthquakes, floods, famine, torture, and so much more all taking place in seven years.

The true born again will not be in the Seven Year Tribulation. But you and I should be talking about the Judgment that is coming and praying for those who are lost. This is not the time for the Church to sleep. People leave this world daily without the Lord!

So, Christian are you ready for the Rapture and The Judgment Seat? How many people have you warned of the coming Judgment upon the Earth? Are you willing to witness to them? Pick up some tracts such as the “Four Spiritual Laws” and start sharing Christ. Don’t be selfish!

The Church is the only organization that has the “truth.” Pastors, get into the Book of Revelation, Daniel, and Matthew 24-25 where Jesus warns us, and teach the people. The Church needs to see what John saw! Amen!

“The Revelation of Jesus Christ, which God gave Him to show His servants — things which must shortly take place. Blessed is he who reads and those who hear the words of this prophecy, for the time is near” ( Rev. 1:1-3).
