Monday softball games rained out, but Central’s season opener still on

Mother Nature decided to rain on most of the local softball teams’ season openers out on Monday.

Games lost to Monday morning’s rain showers were Henryetta at Vian, Gans at Webbers Falls and Gore and Graham-Dustin at Wilson (Henryetta).

Vian softball coach John Mays said the Henryetta-Vian game will be made up at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 26 at Armstrong Park, but Gore coach Michael Randolph said his road three-way has yet to be rescheduled.

Webbers Falls softball coach Kera Carter said the Gans-Webbers Falls game will be made up at 4:30 p.m. Aug. 29 — the date the two teams were scheduled to play at Gans. However, it looks like there only will be just one varsity game played that day in Gans.

However, Central’s season opener Monday at Warner was still on as of press time.
