Raymond Floyd Seay

Sept. 18, 1937 – Sept. 24, 2024

Funeral services for Raymond Floyd Seay, 87, of Gore, were held at 11 a.m. on Friday, Sept. 27, 2024, at Agent Millsap Event Center in Gore.

Burial followed at Virostko Family Cemetery in Gore under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

Mr. Seay was born on Sept. 18, 1937, in Carlile, to James Albert Seay and Alta (Montgomery) Seay. He died on Tuesday, Sept. 24, 2024, in Muskogee.

He played basketball on the Gore High School team, and enlisted in the U.S. Army, where he made Sergeant. He was a mechanic in the Army for two years stationed at Fort Sill. He worked for the Iron Workers 584 in Tulsa, enjoyed hunting, and could fix nearly anything.

He was married to Mary McPherson on Sept. 18, 1965, in Fort Gibson. She preceded him in death on March 6, 2002.

Survivors include his sister-in-law, Zelma Virostko of Gore; other family members, Billy Seay of Gore, Paula Seay, Rocky Seay and wife Michelle, Nickolas Virostko and wife Brandi of Coweta, Penny Virostko of Gore, and Dimo Virostko and wife Savannah of Broken Arrow; his twin brother, George Seay and wife Dolores of Gore; brother, Frank and wife Donna of Bella Vista, Ark.; several grandchildren; and many other family members and friends.

He was also preceded in death by his parents; three brothers, Bobby, Earl and Paul Seay; two sisters, Hazel McClain and Pearl Ames; and three nephews, Bobby Seay and Kenneth and Bobby Ames.

Pallbearers were Rocky Seay, Nickolas Virostko, Stacy Seay, Justin Seay, Dimo Virostko and Trannen Davis.

Honorary pallbearers were Billy Seay, Deven Seay, Braeson Seay, Tex Ferguson and Raymond Rooks.
