Sept. 8, 1963 – September 29, 2024

Funeral Service for Sinclair Farmer, 61, of Tulsa, Okla. will be at 2 p.m. on Wednesday, October 2, 2024 at First Baptist Church in Sallisaw, Okla. under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.

He was born on September 8, 1963 in Fort Smith, Ark. to Margaret Ann (Armstrong) Farmer and Archie Don Farmer, Sr. and passed away on September 29, 2024 in Tulsa.

A 1982 Sallisaw High School graduate, he was a three year starter in football and played on the 1980 and 1981 State Championship Football teams, earning All-Conference his senior year. On November 2, 1990, he was married to Sandra (Cheek) Farmer in Sallisaw, Okla. He and his wife later moved to Tulsa where they raised their daughters.

Mr. Farmer was a business owner and enjoyed anything related to the outdoors. He loved lake life, scuba diving, hunting, golf and the mountains. His most cherished times were spent with his daughters, taking them to school, teaching them to fish and snow ski, water activities and especially family vacations.

Survivors are his wife, Sandra of the home; two daughters, Cassandra Marshall and her husband, Trace of Houston, Tex. and Alexandra Farmer of Dallas, Tex.; two sisters, Lea Ann Bumpers and her husband, Brent of Little Rock, Ark. and Elaine Hensley and her husband, Chris of Sallisaw; one brother, Don Farmer of Lake Tenkiller, Okla.; mother, Ann Farmer of Sallisaw; uncle, Sinclair Armstrong and family friend, John Max Traw, both of Lake Tenkiller; and other relatives and many friends.

He was preceded in death by his father, Archie Don Farmer, Sr.

Active Pallbearers will be Fred Watts, Grant Rhodes, Perry Farmer, Clayton Lee Farmer, George Miles, Bo Byers and Trace Marshall.

Honorary Pallbearers will be members of the back to back 1980-1981 State Championship Football Teams, 1982 Sallisaw High School Graduates, members of Phi Lambda Chi Fraternity at Northeastern State University, Marty Stewart and Mark Pilkington.

Viewing was from 2 – 8 pm Tuesday at Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw where the family greeted from 6 – 8 pm.

In lieu of flowers, memorials may be made to The Sallisaw Black Diamond Foundation, P.O. Box 494, Sallisaw, OK 74955 or the charity of your choice.
