DURANT — Former Vian Lady Wolverine Greenlee Wells and the Oklahoma Baptist University Bison went 1-2 against Southeastern Oklahoma State University last weekend.
The Bison won Sunday’s series finale 4-0, but lost both games of Saturday’s doubleheader by scores of 4-2 and 7-3.
In Saturday’s opener, Wells was hitless in two at-bats, but went 2-for-3 with a triple, her 10th home run of the season, two runs batted in and a run scored in the nightcap.
In Sunday’s win, Wells went l-for-2 with an RBI.
Through 36 games, Wells is hitting .352 with 10 doubles, 1 triple, 10 homers, 37 RBIs, 21 runs scored and six stolen bases.
Wells and the Bison (22-14 overall, 15-5 in Great American Conference play) will return to action next Friday and Saturday with GAC road games against Northwestern Oklahoma State University in Alva with one game at 6 p.m. Friday and a noon doubleheader. Then, the Lady Bison will play a 4 p.m. next Tuesday road game against Southern Nazarene University in Bethany.
