Gore baseball pitcher three-hits McCurtain Bulldogs; Pirates rained out at Dewar Tournament
By David Seeley Sports Editor

McCURTAIN — Gore pitcher Gage Dame pitched a threeinning, three-hitter as the Pirates routed the host McCurtain Bulldogs 14-0 on March 31.

However, that ended up being the only game the Pirates (9-5) got to play as their road game at Tulsa Regent Prep on April 1 was canceled and rain washed out the entire three-day Dewar Invitational Joe Fowler Gumbo Classic.

In the win over Mc-Curtain, Dame (1-0) got his first win of the season, going all three innings, throwing a threehitter and striking out seven batters.

The Pirates scored five runs in the first inning and eight in the second inning to take a 13-0 lead in the third inning to put the game into run-rule status.

For the contest, James Brasuell was 2-for-2 with a double, three runs batted in and two runs scored, McKennon McElhaney was 2-for-2 with three runs scored and an RBI and Duane Hunt was 2-for-3 with an RBI for Gore.
