WILBURTON — Former Vian Lady Wolverines softball player Maisie Wells and the Eastern Oklahoma State College Lady Mountaineers swept a home doubleheader from the Northern Oklahoma College-Enid Lady Jets on Thursday afternoon at home by scores of 8-0 in five innings and 10-2 in five innings.
In the opener, Wells was 2-for-3, while going 4-for-4 with her seventh double and two runs scored in the nightcap.
Through 46 games this season, Wells is batting .449 with seven doubles, three triples, six home runs, 18 runs batted in, 45 runs scored and 11 stolen bases.
Wells and the Lady Mountaineers (30-16), who entertained Rose State College for a home doubleheader on Monday afternoon, will wrap up the regular season with a home twinbill against Seminole State College at 1 p.m. Thursday.
