Go Quickly! Tell! He is Risen!
By Shirley R. Watts

“He is not here; for He is risen, as He said” “Go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen from the dead,” (Matt 28:6-7).

Jesus taught that “The Son of Man must be delivered into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again.” When the women arrived at the tomb “there had been a great earthquake and “they found the stone rolled away, by the angel of the Lord, “they went in and did not find the body of the Lord Jesus and “ two men stood by them in shining garments.” They told them “He is not here; for He is risen, as He said. Come, see the place where the Lord lay” ( Luke 24; Matt. 28).

The women were told to “go quickly and tell His disciples that He is risen” and that He would meet them in Galilee.

Wow! What a beautiful picture of the Lord Jesus rising from the tomb and having fellowship with His disciples. Resurrection Sunday will be over as far as the celebration of it by the time you read this. But for Christian the Resurrection is our celebration every day.

When was the last time you kneeled at the cross, visited the tomb to see where Jesus laid and found Him risen from the dead? Lets make time daily as we seek His will and surrender ourselves to Him. He is truly alive!

We have many professing Christians who live as though there is no Risen Lord and have not the slightest idea of His return. This should not be!

When was the last time you shared the Resurrection with unbelievers? How about your children, friends, coworkers and neighbors? Please teach the children and young people about the facts of the Resurrection.

Today, Satan is using the “political playground” as a platform to destroy our children and youth and also adults. He is singing the tune, “everyone will be saved, so just live it up” and the other song is “don’t worry, you have plenty of time.” We can’t stand by and allow him to deceive people, we have Jesus Christ living in us! He is all powerful!

I am afraid there will be many teenagers that will be found in the Great Tribulation and will be deceived with drugs and music and will find themselves unable to believe the gospel when they hear it …if they hear it. Parents and grandparents, you may face the sad day of seeing them cast into Hell if you do not at least teach them the truth. They have a right to know!

While at the cemetery, I looked across the field of graves, I had to wonder how many of them would rise in the resurrection in the Rapture and how many would be left in the grave until the Great White Throne Judgment of unbelievers.

We must be sharing the fact of life…The Death and Resurrection of Jesus Christ. We do not have forever! If you knew that the Rapture would occur today, what would you do and to whom would you talk to? It could happen!

As His disciples watched, He was taken up, and a cloud received Him out of their sight and The angel said that “This same Jesus, who was taken up from you into heaven, will so come in like manner as you saw Him go into heaven” (Acts 1).

Jesus said, “Go therefore and make disciples” (Matt. 28:19-20).

And the women “went out quickly from the tomb with fear and great joy, and ran to bring His disciples word.”

Let’s run out quickly and tell the great news of the Crucifixion and the Resurrection of Jesus Christ. Lets find our loved ones and others, sit down and share with them before it is too late.

Satan is moving fast! Today, he is like a roaring lion and the angel of light and many are being deceived and devoured. Let’s go quickly, find them, pray for them. God will truly bless you. It is urgent!

“Philip found Nathanael and said to him, “We have found Him” (John 1:45).

Go quickly! Find someone today!

Praise God! He’s Alive!

Amen!
