There are cowboys and then there is Vian’s very own Gill Risley. A calf on the loose tried to run over Gill, who was minding his own business and working fence when this escapee ran up on him. Gill bulldogged the calf, tied him up and called Vian Police Chief Mark Harkins and said “come get him!” Gill was then nice enough to give the little 4-legged criminal a ride home. “Gill, thank you again for helping get this escapee back in custody,” Harkins said. “And thank you for all you do for the town of Vian with all your many talents!”
