Indian Capital Technology Center (ICTC) hosted the Sequoyah County District Teachers of the Year recognition luncheon in the ICTC-Sallisaw campus Sharp Multipurpose Center on May 7, honoring the teachers of the year throughout the ICTC-Sallisaw service area.
This event is hosted each year to honor teachers of the year from all partner schools in the ICTC district.
Teachers and administrators are treated to a catered meal, followed by a short program where the teachers receive a certificate of achievement, legislative citation, and a gift of appreciation from the ICTC district.
This year’s honorees included: Amy Morgan and Tara Ballinger – Central, Shawna Forslund – Gans, Taira Trusty and Debra Mc-Connell – Marble City, Jamie Reynolds – Moffett, Tracy Ryan – Muldrow, Kennilee Mooney – Roland, Kathy Crase – Sallisaw, DeAnna Hall, Chris Peoples and Becky Partain – Vian.
“On behalf of ICTC, I want to commend these exceptional educators for their dedication and hard work in teaching our students in Sequoyah County,” ICTC Superintendent Tony Pivec said.
“The impact they are making in the classroom today will have a lasting impression on many students’ lives. We are truly grateful for their efforts.”
