A tragic collision northeast of Gore claimed the lives of two local residents on Saturday afternoon and left a third critically injured, according to an accident released by the Oklahoma Highway Patrol (OHP).
The fatal crash occurred around 1:51 p.m. on May 17 along Hwy. 100 and S. 4490 Road, roughly seven miles northeast of Gore.
Authorities reported that a 2009 Harley Davidson motorcycle, driven by Chadrick Hornback, 49, of Gore, collided with a 2005 Ford Mustang driven by Rhonda Eagle, 62, also of Gore.
Hornback and his passenger, Rachel Fox, 41, were both pronounced dead at the scene by emergency medical personnel.
Eagle sustained injuries to her extremities and was transported via LifeFlight to St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa. Her condition has not been disclosed as of press time.
The OHP is continuing to investigate the circumstances of the crash, including the condition of the drivers and the cause of the collision. As of now, no details have been released regarding how the crash occurred.
According to the OHP report, Trooper Jacob Brown of the Traffic Homicide Unit from Troop Z is leading the investigation. More information will be released as the investigation continues.
