Dear Editor, The Vian Police Department would like to give a special thank you to Marilyn Eckstein with Century 21 Realty for her generous donation, and Akins BBQ for the delicious sides. This donation was provided in honor of National Law Enforcement Week.

A special thank you to Investigator Kevin Kirk for smoking all the meat provided as well.

We would like to thank all the officers before us that gave the ultimate sacrifice to protect strangers and victims from all walks of life.

We would also like to let Vian Police Chaplain Buddy Hunt, who blessed the food prior it being served, know how much we appreciate what he does for this community.
