Baylee Coachman Memorial Dog Park opens
Sallisaw welcomed its first dog park on Friday with the opening and ribbon cutting of the Baylee Coachman Memorial Dog Park. The park was named in memory of Baylee Coachman, a Sallisaw Middle School student who was killed in an auto accident in April. The dog park was made possible by a $50,000 Hometown Grant from T-Mobile. Baylee’s mother, Delacy Patton, gave a speech at the event, while her father, Franklin Coachman, cut the ribbon for the new park. Sallisaw officials said it was Baylee’s love for animals that inspired the construction and opening of the park.
