Funeral services for Odis Wayne Merrill, 85 of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. on Saturday, June 21, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw.
Burial followed at Brent Cemetery in Gans under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mr. Merrill was born on Oct. 6, 1939, in Hanson to Prilla Audrey (Nimmo) Merrill and Daniel Ode “D.O.” Merrill. He passed away on Wednesday, June 18, 2025, in Sallisaw.
He was married to Gloria Faye (Cox) Merrill on May 11, 1960, in Stillwell.
He was a barber for 70 years and attended Gans Bible Church.
Survivors are wife, Gloria of the home; one daughter, Kathryn Victory and Jeremy of Sallisaw; son, Eddie Wayne Merrill and Donna of Sallisaw; five grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; one great-great-granddaughter; brother, Larry Merrill of Gans; and several other relatives and friends.
He was preceded in death by his parents; two sisters, Hazel Harper and Emma Belle Adams; and three brothers, D.O. Merrill, Jerry Merrill and Jess Merrill.
Pallbearers were Kaleb Bailey, Taylor Victory, Dave Manuel, Andrew Wilson, Justus Merrill and Steve Padgett.
Honorary pallbearers were Dewey Padgett, Bob Hill, Duane Brown and Robert Steiner.
