A Gore man was arrested and booked into the Sequoyah County Detention Center after being found in possession of Child Sexual Abuse Material (CSAM), according to Oklahoma State Bureau of Investigation (OSBI).
According to reports, Heath Corey Spears, 38, was taken into custody after The National Center for Missing and Exploited Children
Heath C. Spears received a cyber tip regarding CSAM, which was then turned over to the OSBI Internet Crimes Against Children Unit (ICAC) for investigation.
On June 17, authorities with OSBI, Cherokee Nation Marshal Service, Sequoyah County Sheriff ’s Office, and the Payne County Sheriff ’s Office K-9 Unit served a search warrant for Spears’ electronic devices.
Police located Spears at his place of business, where images of CSAM were located on his cell phone.
Spears was taken into custody on charges of possession of CSAM and violations of the Oklahoma Computer Crimes Act. The investigation is reportedly still ongoing, as of press time.
The Webbers Falls Police Department also assisted with the investigation.
