Funeral services for Norma Jean Johnston, 94, of Webbers Falls, were held at 12 noon on Wednesday, June 25, 2025, at the Church of Jesus Christ of Latterday Saints in Gore. Burial followed at Fort Gibson National Cemetery under the direction of Hibbs Funeral Home.
Mrs. Johnston was born on March 7, 1931, in Lamar, Colo. to Charles Calvin Cross and Alta B Cameron Cross. She passed away on Tuesday, June 17, 2025, at her home.
She married William Johnston on Dec. 26, 1979. She always offered a listening ear, a delicious meal, rides to doctor appointments, or anything else someone might need. She was a member of the Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints. She and her husband served a two-year mission for the Church in the Philippines.
Survivors are a daughter, Dianna M. Brown; son, Kenneth A. Lorda and wife Beth; 10 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; seven great great grandchildren; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her husband; son, Robert D, Lorda and his wife Linda; and greatgranddaughter, Emily J. Weaver.
Pallbearers were Robert Lorda, Troy Brown, Dwayne Lorda, Steven Lorda, Jaxon Kito and Daniel Lane.
