Around 10,000 middle school and high school Technology Student Association (TSA) members traveled to Nashville, Tenn. to compete in the 47th National TSA Conference. TSA members from across the nation gathered at the Gaylord Opryland, June 27 through July 1, where they competed in over 70 STEM categories. Vian TSA advisor Tommy Wright took five students to compete in three different competitions, who vied well in competition. Congratulations to Brynn Barnoskie, National champion in prepared speech; Gideon Spyres and Tuff Sumpter, who received fifth place in electronics; and the team of Blake Prier and Zeya Webb, who placed as Top 12 finalists in medical technology. “We are very proud of all these Wolverines as they competed amongst about 9,500 other competitors across the U.S., and a few international as well,” Wright said.
