Daphene (Cook) Lewis, 80, of Sallisaw, passed away on Monday, July 28, 2025, in Sallisaw. She was born on Aug. 23, 1944, in Remy, Sequoyah County, to Garland Lee Cook and Rosena Cathryn (Calcote) Cook. No formal service is planned at this time. Cremation is under the direction of Agent Mallory- Martin Funeral Home.
She was a former postal clerk and attended First Assembly of God Church in Sallisaw.
She married Tommy Lewis on June 23, 1962, in Stilwell.
Survivors include her husband, of the home; one daughter, Tammy Rosenburg of Dinuba, Calif.; one son, Tim and Linda Lewis of Dinuba; two sisters, Bernell Edwards of Sallisaw and Sheila and Bill Kumpe of Broken Arrow; four grandchildren; and other family members and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; and one grandson.
