Funeral services for Linda Kay Ford, 85, of Sallisaw, were held at 10 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 9, 2025, at Agent Mallory-Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Sallisaw City Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory-Martin Funeral Home in Sallisaw.
Mrs. Ford was born on July 5, 1940, in Sallisaw, to Lillian Mae (Helton) Cotton and Carl Wear Cotton. She passed away on Monday, Aug. 4, 2025.
She married William Earl “Bill” Ford on May 2, 1958.
In her earlier years, she worked at Welch’s Dairy Dip and Ivey’s Drug before dedicating herself to a fulfilling career as a Judicial Secretary for the Sequoyah County District Judge’s Office. She was a member of the Sallisaw Church of Christ and a member of the Piecemakers quilting group. She enjoyed quilting, shopping, golf, and spending time with her family.
Survivors are her husband, William Earl “Bill” Ford; daughter, Cheryl Ann (Ford) Hall and Cana; two granddaughters; four great-grandchildren; sister, Ramona Sue (Cotton) Cooper; and many other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; greatgrandson, Connor Joshua Padgett; brother, Charles Perry Cotton; and brother-in-law, Richard Cooper..
Pallbearers were Josh Padgett, Beau Brannon, Cana Hall, Shannon Vann, Dan Carter and Steve Carter, Honorary pallbearers were the Sallisaw Church of Christ Piecemakers.
