Funeral services for Mamie (Leigh) Roberts, 92, formerly of Sallisaw, were held at 2 p.m. on Friday, Aug. 15, 2025, at Agent Mallory Martin Chapel in Sallisaw. Burial followed at Buffington Cemetery under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
Mrs. Roberts was born on Nov. 13, 1932, in the Drake Prairie Community, to Bonnie Dawn (Bruton) Leigh and Floyd Leigh. She passed away on Sunday, Aug. 10, 2025, in Oklahoma City.
She married B.G. Roberts on Feb. 28, 1952, in Van Buren, Ark. He preceded her in death on Dec. 5, 1974.
For 21 years, she devoted her skills and care to cooking.
Survivors are three daughters, Diane Hamilton and Fred of Norman, Karen Roberts of Oklahoma City and Christie Raybern and Scott of Oklahoma City; son, Gary Roberts and Sherry of Wichita, Kan.; three grandchildren; one great-grandchild; and other relatives and friends.
She was preceded in death by her parents; two sisters, Viola Leigh and Margie Smith; and one brother, Wesley Roger Leigh.
