The Central Lady Tigers suffered a pair of District 2A-12 losses last week, losing 13-3 in six innings at Pocola on Aug. 19 and 7-1 to Colcord on Thursday afternoon at home.
In the loss to Pocola, the Lady Indians, who led 6-3 after three innings, scored five runs in the fourth inning and twice in the sixth inning to put the game into run-rule status.
In defeat, Brenleigh Allen was 2-for-3 with a double, two runs scored and a run batted in, Charlie Petree doubled and Keeley Poindexter doubled with an RBI for the Lady Tigers (1-7 overall, 0-2 in district play). Addison Howard (1-2) suffered the loss.
In Thursday’s home district loss to Colcord, the Lady Hornets broke a 1-all tie with a fourrun third inning and single runs in the fifth and seven innings.
In defeat, Brianna Taylor was 2-for-3, while Jhaselyn Gonzalez tripled and scored once for Central. Howard took the loss, recording two strikeouts in seven innings.
