For the second straight fall, the Gore Lady Pirates cross country team will have its same “Terrific Trio” leading the way this season on cross country courses.

The Lady Pirates return runners Rayleigh Moore, Amelia White and Gracie Bruce.

While none of them qualified for state in 2024, Gore coach T.W. Estes is hoping any or all three of them will be running at this year’s state meet, which will take place Oct. 25 at North Rock Creek High School, just north of Shawnee.

This year, however, there will not be any Pirates running in the high school division.

The Gore trio will open its season in its own meet, the Gore Invitational, which will begin at 9:45 a.m. Thursday at the Steve Davis Sports Complex.
