The Webbers Falls Lady Warriors are still seeking their first win for new coach Mike Mills as they enter play this week.
Last week, the Lady Warriors lost all three of their games — 12-1 in four innings to Riverside Conference for McCurtain on Aug. 18 at Eual Carter Sports Complex, 12-2 in four innings at conference rival Keota on Aug. 19 and 3-0 by forfeit at Heavener on Thursday afternoon.
In the loss to McCurtain, McCurtain pitcher Abby Bales threw a onehitter with eight strikeouts.
The Lady Bulldogs scored once in the first inning, but they put away the game with a 10-run third inning for an 11-0 lead.
In defeat, Katie Frazier’s single was the lone hit for the Lady Warriors (0-6). Rhilee Jones suffered the loss, despite recording three strikeouts in four innings.
In the loss to Keota, after the Lady Warriors cut their deficit to 3-2 in the fourth inning, the Lady Lions roared back with a nine-run fourth inning to put the game into run-rule status.
Keota pitcher Jaycee Byrd threw a four-inning no-hitter against the Lady Warriors, striking out five batters.
Jones took the loss for Webbers Falls.
The Lady Warriors’ loss to Heavener was by forfeit due to not having enough players.
Friday’s road threeway at Gans with Haileyville was canceled.
