The town of Marble City has released a public service announcement regarding trains that block traffic in town limits.
Town officials said when a train is blocking traffic for more than 20 minutes, citizens can call a phone number posted on a blue sign next to the railroad tracks to report the blockage.
“They won’t take it seriously unless more than one person calls it in, so write the info down, and pass it out to the other people waiting,” town officials said.
This is the number and crossing ID for the Marble City crossing only. It might save you from having to walk half a mile to the tracks if you get stuck behind the train in Marble City.
