Gore Lady Pirates finish third at Riverside Conference Tournament after beating Webbers Falls, Arkoma at home

The Gore Lady Pirates finished third in the 2025 Riverside Conference Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament, which took place Thursday and Friday in Stigler.

The Lady Pirates opened the tournament on Thursday with a 16-0 rout of Gans but lost 1-0 to Keota. On Friday, the Lady Pirates handled Webbers Falls 14-1 and edged Mc-Curtain 2-1 before losing 3-2 to Keota in the loser’s-bracket final.

To begin last week, the Lady Pirates won both of their home games on Sept. 2, getting a pair of 11-0, runruled victories over Webbers Falls and Arkoma.

In Gore’s win over Webbers Falls, Alevia Reasnor (5-1) pitched a one-hitter with five strikeouts in three innings.

The Lady Pirates (84) got all the run support Reasnor needed as they scored five runs in the first inning. A fourrun third inning put the game into run-rule status.

For the contest, Reasnor was 2-for-2 with a run batted in, Jimma Peevy was 2-for-3 with five RBIs and a run scored, Hallie Brewer was 2-for-2 with a triple, an RBI and a run scored, Kylie McEver doubled, Kennedy Williams doubled and scored once and River Shoemake doubled with two runs scored and an RBI for Gore.

In defeat, Karla Bonilla singled for the only hit for the Lady Warriors (1-6). Rhilee Jones suffered the loss.

In Gore’s win over Arkoma, Peevy (2-3) got her first win of the season as she fanned four batters in three innings and threw a one-hitter.

The Lady Pirates broke a scoreless tie with a nine-run second inning. A two-run third inning put the game into run-rule status.

For the contest, Reasnor was 2-for-3 with a triple and two runs scored, Shoemake was 2-for-3 with a triple, her first home run of the season, five RBIs and two runs scored, Williams was 2-for-2 with a triple, two runs scored and an RBI, Brewer was 2-for-2 with two RBIs and a run scored and Camdyn Dotson was 2-for-2 for Gore.

In the rout of Gans, Gore pitcher Cheyenne Davidson (1-0) got her first win of the season as she one-hit the Lady Grizzlies and struck out four batters in three innings..

A 12-run first inning was all the run support Davidson needed.

For the game, Reasnor was 2-for-2 with two runs scored, Sophie O’Connor was 2-for-2 with a double, her first home run of the season and four RBIs and Mikayla Randolph doubled with two RBIs and a run scored for Gore.

In the first tournament loss to Keota, the Lady Lions scored the game’s lone run in the first inning.

Gore’s only hit off Keota pitcher Jaycee Bird was a single by Emily Daily.

Reasnor suffered her first loss of the season, despite fanning nine batters in four innings.

In the tournament win over Webbers Falls, Peevy threw a threehitter with four strikeouts in three innings.

The Lady Pirates jumped out to a 4-0 lead after an inning for all the run support Peevy needed.

For the game, Peevy was 2-for-2 with a double, two RBIs and two runs scored, Reasnor tripled with two RBIs and a run scored and Kylie McEver hit her first homer of the season with three RBIs and two runs scored for Gore.

In the win over Mc-Curtain, Williams hit a walk-off sacrifice fly in the sixth inning to break a 1-all tie.

For the game, Peevy and McEver each doubled, Daily singled and scored once, Reasnor hit an RBI single and Williams singled and had the game-winning sacrifice fly.

Reasnor got the win, fanning 13 batters in six innings.

In the loser’s-bracket final loss to Keota, the Lady Lions rallied from a 2-1 deficit with a tworun fifth inning.

In defeat, Daily was 2-for-3 with a run scored, O’Connor hit her second homer in as many days and Peevy singled with an RBI for Gore.

Peevy took the loss, despite striking out four batters in five innings.
