Webbers Falls Lady Warriors get first win of season before losing twice in Riverside Conference Tournament

The good news for the Webbers Falls Lady Warriors is they will not go winless this fast-pitch softball season.

The Lady Warriors got not only their first win of the season but the first win for new coach Mike Mills as they routed the Arkoma Lady Mustangs 15-3 on Sept. 2 in Gore, which beat Webbers Falls 11-0 in the other game of the day for the Lady Warriors.

In the 2025 Riverside Conference Fast-Pitch Softball Tournament on Thursday in Stigler, the Lady Warriors fell twice to be eliminated from the tournament as they lost 10-3 to McCurtain and 14-1 to Gore.

In the win over Arkoma, the Lady Warriors (1-8) put away the game early with an eight-run first inning, then a seven-run second inning put the game into run-rule status.

For the contest, Ricki Frazier was 3-for-3 with two runs batted in and two runs scored, Lextyn Chappell was 2-for-3 with two RBIs and two runs scored, Bailey Ward was 2-for-2 with three RBIs and two runs scored, Katie Frazier was 2-for-2 with a double, three RBIs and a run scored, Shkyra Scruggs was 2-for-3 with two runs scored, Kendra Kimble was 2-for-3 with a double, two RBIs and a run scored and Jones doubled with two runs scored and an RBI for Webbers Falls. Jones got the win.

In the non-tournament loss to Gore, Gore pitcher Alevia Reasnor pitched a one-hitter with five strikeouts in three innings.

In defeat, Karla Bonilla singled for the only hit for the Lady Warriors. Jones suffered the loss.

In the tournament loss to McCurtain, the Lady Bulldogs jumped out to a 7-0 lead after two innings. The Lady Warriors cut their deficit to 7-3 in the third inning but got no closer.

In defeat, Ward was 2-for-2 with a double, an RBI and a run scored, Chappell singled and scored once and Scruggs singled with an RBI for Webbers Falls. Jones took the loss.

In the tournamentending loss to Gore, the Lady Pirates scored four runs in the first inning and eight runs in the second inning for a 12-0 lead. The Lady Warriors got their only run in the third inning.

In defeat, Chappell was 2-for-2, while Jones singled with an RBI for Webbers Falls. Jones took the loss.
