The town of Gore issued a public statement last week, informing its citizens of the outcome of Case No. CV-2024-25, Gideon Miller vs. Town of Gore.
On September 11, Sequoyah County District Court entered judgment in favor of the town. The court determined that the Gore Board of Trustees acted in accordance with Oklahoma law when declaring Miller’s trustee seat vacant on Jan. 16, 2024.
In addition to ruling in favor of the town, the court ordered the plaintiff to pay the town’s attorney fees.
Town officials said this judgment reaffirms the town’s commitment to acting lawfully, responsibly, and in the best interest of its citizens.
