It was all Webbers Falls Warriors as they routed the Canadian Cougars 44-6 in the home opener Friday night at Smokey Cox Stadium.
The Warriors (1-1) led 14-0 after a quarter thanks to Brutus Robinson’s 13-yard touchdown run with 5:53 left in the period, Trysten Wilbourn’s 25-yard interception return for a TD and Caden Carter’s two-point conversion run at the 4:12 mark of the quarter.
The Warriors doubled their lead by halftime, thanks to Robinson’s 20–yard touchdown pass from Robinson and Gunner Shelby’s two-point conversion with 10:25 left before halftime and Carter’s two-yard TD run with 1:18 remaining in the first half to make it 28-0.
Wilbourn and Rocky Greenfield each had an interception in the second period.
After a scoreless third quarter, Shelby scored his first touchdown on a 12yard pass from Robinson, who scored the two-point conversion, to up the Webbers Falls lead to 36-0 with 7:10 left to play.
After the Cougars (1–2) scored their one TD with 3:49 remaining in the game, Austin Barger scored the final touchdown of the night for the Warriors with 1:01 left on a 44-yard run. Barger scored the two-point conversion.
Robinson ended the night with 175 yards passing and two touchdown passes.

The Warriors will return to action when they travel to meet the Keota Lions at 7 p.m. next Friday.
