Cremation services for Ruth (Moss) Cawhorn, 88, of Vian, is under the direction of Agent Mallory Martin Funeral Service, Inc.
She was born on Feb. 20, 1937, in Vian, to Thelma (Duffield) Moss and Barry Thomas Moss. She passed away on Sunday, Sept. 14, 2025, in Vian.
She was married to Jerry Gene Cawhorn on Jan. 14, 1957. He preceded her in death on Jan. 15, 2023.
She was a retired operator from Southwestern Bell Telephone and a member of Vian Baptist Church.
Survivors are a daughter, Cindy (Cawhorn) Dorr and Joe of Vian; one grandson; sister, Martha Ann Morris of Vian; and other relatives and friends.
She was also preceded in death by her parents; one daughter, Sherry (Cawhorn) Christopher; three sisters, Bernice Stone, Ginny Lam and Marie Keilberg; and three brothers, Joe Moss, Bill Moss and Leon Moss.
